Polish prospect Agnieszka Niedzwiedz (10-0) remained undefeated, earning a hard-fought decision win over Vanessa Porto (18-8). The flyweight scrap headlined Friday’s Invicta FC 23 event, which took place at Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo. The entire card streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. Porto found success on her feet early, setting the pace with her punches and leaving Niedzwiedz looking a bit uncomfortable. The action transitioned to the floor later in the frame, and Niedzwiedz threatened with a guillotine, but Porto patiently worked herself free. As the action returned to the feet, Niedzwiedz shot in with a beautifully quick takedown and then ended the round hunting for an anaconda choke that wouldn’t come before the bell

PORTLAND, Ore. – Kelly Faszholz started slow and then rallied late against Ketlen Vieira , but in the end it wasn’t enough. With a suffocating ground game, Vieira (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) eeked out a victory over a game Faszholz (3-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC), taking the fight via split-decision victory with scores of 28-29, 29-28, and 29-28. The women’s bantamweight bout opened up the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 96 event at Moda Center in Portland, Ore. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims on FS2 and a main card on FS1.

Chris Camozzi and Joe Riggs Eight fighters from Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 83 card in Pittsburgh have been issued medical suspensions following their bouts, including four who are shut down indefinitely. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission, which oversaw the card, released the suspensions to MMAjunkie. Perhaps most notable of the indefinite suspensions is veteran Joe Riggs (41-17 MMA, 5-7 UFC), who suffered a brutal TKO loss to Chris Camozzi (23-10 MMA, 8-7 UFC) on the main card. Camozzi drilled Riggs with a jab, then landed six vicious knees in the clinch to get the stoppage win. One of the knees broke Riggs’ right arm as he was trying to block them. Other indefinite suspensions were for promotional newcomer Kelly Faszholz (3-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC), who was stopped by Lauren Murphy (9-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) with just five seconds left in the fight.

Kelly Faszholz and Lauren Murphy PITTSBURGH – Donald Cerrone , Chris Camozzi , Lauren Murphy and Kelly Faszholz each earned $50,000 fight-night bonuses at Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 83 event. Cerrone and Camozzi took home “Performance of the Night” bonuses while Murphy and Faszholz won “Fight of the Night.” UFC officials announced the winners at the post-fight press conference, which MMAjunkie attended. UFC Fight Night 83 took place at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Cerrone (29-7 MMA, 16-4 UFC) scored a first round triangle choke submission of Alex Oliveira (14-3-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) in the evening’s main event. Cerrone moved up to welterweight for the bout and had to face Oliveira on short-notice after Tim Means was forced out of the originally planned bout following a failed drug test
