Means (23-6-1 MMA, 5-3 UFC) will step in for injured welterweight Kenny Robertson (15-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) to meet George Sullivan (16-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) at UFC on FOX 15. UFC officials announced the change today. Featuring a middleweight matchup between top contenders Lyoto Machida and Luke Rockhold, UFC on FOX 15 takes place April 18 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. All four won “Performance of the Night” bonuses; no “Fight of the Night” was awarded. David Allen, the UFC’s senior vice president and general manager for Europe, Middle East and Asia, announced the winners at the post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie attended. Johnson (19-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) was a decent-sized underdog against home favorite Alexander Gustafsson (16-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC), but he took it to “The Mauler” in a big way to get a first-round TKO stoppage. Kenny Robertson STOCKHOLM – Kenny Robertson was able to score a somewhat shocking knockout of Sultan Aliev at 2:42 of Round 1 when the two did battle on the UFC on FOX 14 prelims. Robertson (15-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) was a slight underdog, but managed to show off some improved standup in finishing Aliev (13-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC). The welterweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC on FOX 14 event at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead a main card on FOX.
