But it was a head kick earlier in the card that had the MMA world buzzing in the buildup to the AXS TV-broadcast flyweight headliner at Arena Theatre in Houston. Sanchez (6-0) looked like he was in trouble early on against Klayton Mai (8-3), a submission specialist nicknamed “The Python” who loves to choke out his opponents. But despite a guillotine attempt for nearly two minutes, Mai couldn’t put Sanchez away, and he paid for it later

Legacy FC 52 highlights: Matt Schnell leads perfect night of finishes on AXS TV

It’s really nothing new for the events on the cable network, but all six fights on the main card were stoppages with four submissions and a pair of TKOs. Legacy FC 52 took place at at Golden Nugget Lake Charles in Lake Charles, La. In the main event, Matt Schnell (9-2) pulled off an upset with a first-round submission of Klayton Mai (8-2) to take home Legacy’s interim flyweight title.
