Former welterweight champion Leon Edwards entered Saturday’s UFC 322 main card bout against Carlos Prates in need of a win. The No. 4 ranked contender was coming off back-to-back losses and looking to stay relevant in the top of the division. Prates entered the octagon at Madison Square Garden coming off a ‘Performance of the Night’ knockout win over Geoff Neal and hoping to carry the momentum against the former titleholder

Former UFC title challenger Darren Till headlined Saturday’s Misfits Boxing 22 fight card in Manchester, England against former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold . The two had intense face-offs and heated verbal exchanges during the week leading up to Saturday’s showdown. The two had to be separated during the official weigh-ins . In the fight, Rockhold had some early success with his jab but in the closing seconds of the opening round, Till sent Rockhold to the canvas with a left hand

Undefeated Ilia Topuria entered the UFC 298 main event title bout against then-champion Alexander Volkanovski extremely confident. Volkanovski had dominated the featherweight division for five years but that all came to a sudden halt in the second round in Anaheim, Calif. in February. Volkanovski was taking over the fight in the second round repeatedly landing his jab and moving away from Topuria’s power punches.
