This past weekend’s KSW 65 event featured a pair of title clashes, with Roberto Soldic walking away as a double champ and Salahdine Parnasse reclaiming the featherweight title. KSW 65 took place at Poland’s Gliwice Arena. In the night’s main event, reigning welterweight champ Soldic (20-3) claiming the middleweight belt with a second-round knockout of longtime veteran Mamed Khalidov (35-8-2). In the co-feature, France’s Parnasse (16-1) earned the 145-pound belt by scoring a dominant decision win over the man who took the title from him, Daniel Torres (12-5). After the event, Will Vanders, Chris Hoekstra and Krzysztof Soszynski recapped the action. Check out highlights from KSW 65 in the video above.

KSW planning 12 events in 2022, adds exclusive broadcast partner in 10 European countries

KSW is planning the busiest calendar year in promotional history with 12 events in the works for 2022. KSW officials recently announced the plans, which follow a year in which the Polish promotion will host eight fight cards, which is the busiest 12 months in the 17-year history of the company thus far. The company also announced that streaming service Viaplay “has agreed to a long-term partnership with KSW … to become the exclusive streaming home in 10 countries of KSW’s live events from December 2021.” The markets include Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the Netherlands, according to the official announcement. “Next year will see an increase in our events, our roster of athletes and the number of European territories in which KSW will be readily available,” KSW co-owner Martin Lewandowski stated

KSW 65 set for Dec. 18; headliner billed as ‘biggest fight in the history’ of promotion

In what promotion officials are calling “one of the biggest fights ever in Europe,” KSW middleweight champ Mamed Khalidov will face welterweight champion Roberto Soldic on Dec. 18. The contest serves as the main event of KSW 65 , which takes place at Gliwice Arena in Gliwice, Poland. The event streams live on KSWTV.com. A 17-year veteran, Khalidov (35-7-2) has long been known as one of the most talented middleweights competing outside of the UFC, boasting career victories over the likes of Scott Askham, Luke Barnatt, Kendall Grove, James Irvin, Matt Lindland, Melvin Manhoef, Jorge Santiago and Jesse Taylor, among others. In October 2020, Khalidov scored a 36-second knockout of Askham to claim the KSW middleweight title for a second time.
