Loureda (2-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA), the taekwondo stylist, used her wide-ranging striking arsenal to pick apart Dasch (0-2 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) over the course of three rounds to win a unanimous decision. The women’s flyweight fight was part of the preliminary card of Friday night’s Bellator 222 event at Madison Square Garden. Former U.S. taekwondo ace Loureda (1-0 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) is set to return to action at the iconic Madison Square Garden against Larkyn Dasch (0-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA), a Hooters waitress who shared a photo of her signing her bout agreement while wearing her famous work gear. But Loureda warned fans not to fall into the trap of thinking this was a gimmicky “fighter vs. waitress” matchup because, as she points out, she was in exactly the same situation herself just a few months ago. “Honestly, I don’t understand the big deal,” Loureda told MMA Junkie.

As far as MMA signings go, file this one under “that’s so MMA.” On Thursday, Barstool Sports’ Robbie Fox broke the news that Larkyn Dasch , a 22-year-old Hooters girl and MMA fighter out of Michigan, signed a contract with Bellator to fight Valerie Loureda next week at Bellator 222 in New York, which the promotion later announced . First we get “beef plant guy” debuting in Bellator, and now Hooters girl. Dasch’s regular isn’t the thing that makes her signing “so MMA.” No, what makes it “so MMA” is the fact that she signed her contract while in her Hooters uniform at a Hooters restaurant – presumably the one where she works? Here she is making it official (via Twitter ): Dasch has just one professional fight to her credit, a unanimous-decision loss at Motor City Cagefights 5, which took place April 12. According to her Tapology page , Dasch went 4-3 as an amateur. Here she is in action in 2016 (via YouTube ): Dasch is stepping into the Bellator cage against someone with equal pro experience.
