Legacy FC 28 video highlights: A good night for knees, a bad one for faces

Legacy FC kept the ball rolling in 2014 with another crowd-pleasing event, this time highlighted by William Bush retaining his middleweight title. The event, which aired on AXS TV from College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, featured a little bit of everything – knockouts, submissions and thrilling decisions. In a few fights, it proved a good night for knee strikes – and a bad night for the faces they tagged. Among the highlights early on the card, before “Bubba” Bush submitted Rakim Cleveland in the second round, Damacio Page shut down Matthew Lozano in the second round, Cosmo Alexandre stopped Rey Trujillo in the first, and Damon Jackson tapped out Hunter Tucker. Alexandre (5-1) will fight for the first time since leaving Bellator MMA when he meets Anselmo Luna (9-4) at Legacy FC 28 next month in Texas. Legacy FC signs Cosmo Alexandre, will allow kickboxing bouts

After a six-fight run in Bellator MMA, including consecutive wins in his five most recent bouts, Cosmo Alexandre has signed with Legacy FC. Promoter/owner Mick Maynard alerted MMAjunkie about the signing. Alexandre is slated for a promotional debut at Legacy FC 28 on Feb.

Legacy FC signs UFC vet Aaron Rosa, targets Paul Buentello matchup

Big-show vet Aaron Rosa , a recent UFC competitor, has signed with Legacy FC and has already been targeted for a matchup with another familiar name. Legacy FC promoter Mick Maynard today told MMAjunkie that Rosa (17-6) has signed a multi-fight deal and is being targeted for a fight with fellow light heavyweight Paul Buentello (33-15) at Legacy FC 28. The event takes place Feb. 21 at Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio

‘Bubba’ Bush meets Roger Narvarez in Legacy FC 28 main event on Feb. 21

The 28th show in the history of Legacy Fighting Championship goes down on Feb. 21, and a middleweight championship affair is set to take center stage. Reigning 185-pound titleholder William “Bubba” Bush (6-2) will attempt to defend his belt for the first time when he takes on top contender Roger Narvarez (6-0) in the main event of Legacy FC 28. Legacy promoter Mick Maynard confirmed the fight booking with MMAjunkie.
