Legacy FC 53, which aired on AXS TV from Center Stage Atlanta in Georgia, saw welterweight Dhiego Lima (11-4) grind out a decision win over Antonio Trocoli (9-2) in the headliner, and in the co-headliner, Dave Vitkay (17-12-1) edged fellow 170-pounder Cody Wilson (9-2). But further down the card, Adam Dehart (6-5) rematched Amir Dadovic (2-3). While Dehart won the duo’s first bout via split decision in 2012, the second bout ended up much more definitely, thanks to a slick submission from side control. While it wasn’t thrilling, Lima was the man with his hand raised at the end of three rounds. Lima (11-4) utilized a pressure game throughout the fight, putting Trocoli (9-2) on his back foot and pressing the action to the cage. Trocoli was able to avoid the UFC veteran’s takedown attempts for much of the fight, but continually struggled to find space to unload with any effective offense. The card took place at Center Stage Atlanta in Georgia, where Lima lives and trains

Legacy FC 52 was scheduled to be headlined by a flyweight title bout between champion Damacio Page (19-10) and challenger Matt Schnell (8-2), while Legacy FC 53’s headliner featured “TUF 19” runner-up Dhiego Lima (10-4) taking on fellow welterweight Ben Brewer (11-4). Page has been forced out of the bout and has been replaced by Jason Sampson (13-1)
