LFA is Utah on Friday night, and a featherweight on a roll is part of the show. Andrew Tenneson (7-1) takes on Westin Wilson (7-3) in a featured bout on the main card at LFA 66, which takes place at Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, near Salt Lake City. The main card airs on AXS TV. Tenneson has won four straight fights, including back-to-back bouts under the LFA banner. In his promotional debut in 2017, he needed just 49 seconds to take out Andrew Yates with a brutal guillotine choke at LFA 10. But that past had little to do with the sick shoulder lock Heinisch (8-0) dropped on Lucas Rota (12-7) on Friday in the LFA 10 main event. Heinisch looked outstanding in front of his hometown fans to submit the Brazilian around the midway point of the first round. After the win, Heinisch said he’s ready for a chance to compete in the UFC’s middleweight division.

That’s the best way to describe Ian Heinisch ’s LFA debut as he was superior in every way during his first-round submission win over Lucas Rota in the main event of LFA 10, which took place Friday at Massari Arena in Pueblo, Colo., and aired on AXS TV “This feels so good,” Heinisch said. “I stayed calm, I fought my fight, I did what I was supposed to do. I took care of business. Heinisch (8-0) came out nimble on his feet and displayed his power early, even if he was just a bit off, as an overhand right just missed landing flush on Rota (12-7)

Thanks to back-to-back upset wins in 2016 under the RFA banner before that promotion merged with Legacy FC to form the LFA, Riley has become known as “The Upset King.” But it’s not necessarily something he’s embracing. “I don’t like it, but I do use it for motivation every now and then,” Riley (5-3) told AXS TV Fights’ Ron Kruck ahead of his LFA 10 bout against Jerome Rivera (5-0).
