When Jackson (11-1-1) was supposed to fight Kevin Aguilar (11-1) this past October, he had the benefit of a full training camp to prep for a Legacy FC title fight. Then Aguilar pulled out – and Jackson thought it was “sketchy.” It didn’t help that the two had been on a collision course for a fight since spring 2014. “We were supposed to be matched up about three years ago whenever it was in between me, him and (Leonard) Garcia for the title,” Jackson told Ron Kruck of AXS TV Fights. “He ended up losing to Garcia, so we didn’t get that matchup then. I was going to fight the winner of that, and at the time it was whoever won the fight was going to the UFC.

LFA 4 headliner Damon Jackson isn’t the biggest fan of opponent Kevin Aguilar , but in truth, that has very little to do with why “The Leech” wants to punch his foe in the mouth. A recent trip to the maternity center provided Jackson all the motivation he needs. “It’s kind of crazy, but I talked to my wife about it, and we feel pretty comfortable with everything,” Jackson told MMAjunkie. “We have a lot of help, so I’m going to fight.” Jackson, 28, recently welcomed his fourth daughter into the world

Two titles will now be on the line at next month’s RFA 4 event. Officials recently announced Invicta FC fighter/former Legacy FC champ Andrea Lee (5-2) and KOTC/RFA vet Heather Bassett (4-2) will meet for LFA’s inaugural women’s flyweight title.

A champion-vs.-champion bout will headline LFA’s fourth event. Officials for LFA, an organization borne out of the recent RFA and Legacy FC merger , today announced LFA 4 will crown the upstart’s inaugural featherweight champion. The title hopefuls include final RFA champion Raoni Barcelos (11-1) and Legacy FC titleholder Kevin Aguilar (11-1). LFA 4 takes place Feb. 17 at Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel and Casino in Bossier City, La., near Shreveport. The main card airs on AXS TV.
