So often with highlight-reel knockouts, it’s not just the knockout itself that stands out. It’s the fall That was the case Friday night at LFA 54, where Moses Murrietta landed a slick 1-2 punch combo to finish his fight with Sidiah Parker in the second round. As impressive as the combo was, Parker’s crash to the canvas was mesmerizing, with his left leg completely going out from underneath him. It looked like he was doing the splits. LFA 54 results: Mazo cruises in title defense, Murrietta delivers stunning KO

“The Colombian Queen” failed to deliver another head-kick KO, but Sabina Mazo did comfortably cruise to a decision win over an outgunned Carol Yariwaki (7-3), defending the LFA women’s flyweight title in the process. The bout served as the main event of tonight’s LFA 54, which aired on AXS TV from OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif. The taller Mazo looked comfortable on her feet to start, pumping out a jab and kicking the leg a bit, as well.

Video: LFA 54′s Kailan Hill wins by spinning-backfist knockout in just 11 seconds

According to AXS TV reporter Phoenix Carnevale, Kailan Hill promised some “spinning fancy sh*t” at LFA 54, and he delivered. All it took was 11 seconds for Hill to knock out Andre Walker with a spinning backfist Friday night in their middleweight bout. Walker was out cold the moment it landed (you can watch in the video above). Hill, 23, moves to 3-0 in his young career, with all of his victories coming by way of first-round knockout. He figures to be someone to keep an eye on as his career develops. Walker drops to 4-2

LFA schedules trio of fight cards to close 2018, including four title fights

Four titles will be on the line for LFA in its final three events of 2018. At LFA 54, women’s flyweight champion Sabina Mazo (5-0) puts her title up against challenger Carol Yariwaki (7-2). At LFA 55, Miles Johns (7-0) takes on Adrian Yanez (7-2) for the vacant bantamweight title, and Sarah Alpar (7-4) meets Joselyne Edwards (8-1) for the inaugural women’s bantamweight title. And at LFA 56, the vacant lightweight title is on the line between Austin Hubbard (9-2) and Killys Mota (11-0). Promotion officials recently announced all three cards.
