The LFA’s debut event on UFC Fight Pass provided one of the most brutal knockouts you’ll ever see. LFA 78 took place Friday at Bell County Expo Center in Belton, Texas, and served as the first live event for the developmental promotion on its new broadcast home. In the night’s co-main event, bantamweight Jose Johnson (11-5) was defending a takedown from opponent Rafael Costa (11-3) and unleashed a perfectly placed elbow that sent his foe crashing face-first into the canvas, where he was motionless for several tense moments. There was some initial concern that the elbow might have been illegal, but replays showed it was delivered with absolute perfection. More importantly, Costa made a quick recovery, as well, and left the cage under his own power. Check out the full fight in the video above

LFA to UFC Fight Pass official, includes full library, 46 live events

Following a recent initial announcement , details are now set for LFA’s move to UFC Fight Pass. UFC officials today revealed the deal calls for UFC Fight Pass to serve as the exclusive global streaming provider for 46 live LFA events, which will stream on the digital subscription service through 2021, beginning with LFA 78 this Friday in Belton, Texas. LFA finds new home on UFC Fight Pass; final two events of 2019 set

After losing their broadcast partnership with AXS TV in September, Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) finally has a new home. LFA, who was forced to temporarily postpone all of their events following the AXS TV termination , will now be streamed on UFC Fight Pass. The deal was announced during the UFC 244 preliminary card broadcast on Saturday. The promotion will finish 2019 with two events LFA 78 and LFA 79, both of which will stream on UFC Fight Pass. LFA 77 will go on as scheduled Friday night, and the heavyweight title will be on the line. But the promotion’s next two scheduled events, LFA 78 and LFA 79, are on hold until a new broadcast partner is secured. Earlier this month, Anthem Sports & Entertainment acquired a majority stake in AXS TV, which had been LFA’s longtime TV home. After the deal, LFA officials were informed that AXS TV was ditching its broadcast deal with the promotion.

Undefeated Zviad Lazishvili hopes fighting for LFA catapults him to the UFC

Zviad Lazishvili is set to make his LFA debut next month, and hopes it’s the start of big things to come in his MMA career. He takes on Josh Huber at LFA 78 on Oct. 4, and the undefeated native of Georgia in Eastern Europe has aspirations to make it to the UFC one day.

Brandon Royval, Jerome Rivera rematch for flyweight title in LFA 78 main event

The vacant flyweight title will be on the line when LFA returns to Colorado in October. Brandon Royval (9-4) is set to take on Jerome Rivera (8-2) in a rematch for the 125-pound belt in the LFA 78 main event, the promotion recently announced. The pair first fought at LFA 39 in May 2018, but Rivera suffered a freak injury just 40 seconds into the fight for a TKO win for Royval. The LFA 78 co-main event will be a welterweight bout between Anthony Adams (8-1) and Kassius Kayne (13-6).
