The LFA’s run of Friday night July events in South Dakota continued July 24 with a memorable evening at LFA 86. A new flyweight champion was crowned, and in emphatic fashion, at that. Jimmy Flick needed a mere 38 seconds to finish Greg Fischer via arm-triangle choke and claim the promotion’s 125-pound title. That was one of five bouts out of the evening’s six that finished inside the allotted time. Jimmy Flick made it quick Friday to claim the vacant LFA flyweight championship. Flick (14-5) needed just 38 seconds to submit Greg Fischer (10-2) and win the title in the headlining bout of LFA 86, which took place at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and streamed on UFC Fight Pass. It was one-way traffic from beginning to end for Flick. He immediately shot for a takedown on Fischer, who tried to defend around his legs

LFA 84 postponed, April events under review as promotion responds to coronavirus crisis

LFA 84 is the latest MMA event casualty of the coronavirus pandemic. The event, scheduled for March 20 in Phoenix, was due to feature a battle for the vacant middleweight title between Daniel Madrid and Impa Kasanganay. But the promotion announced Saturday the event has now been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. A press release from Legacy Fighting Alliance laid out the organization’s approach to its schedule amid the health crisis that is currently affecting the sporting world. LFA officials have been closely monitoring the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic nationwide and abroad

Bryce Logan vs. Jacob Rosales vacant lightweight title fight headlines LFA 86

The lightweight title will be up for grabs when LFA returns to South Dakota next month. South Dakota’s own Bryce Logan (11-4) takes on Jacob Rosales (12-5) for the vacant 155-pound title in the LFA 86 main event. The promotion announced the booking Tuesday. The card will be LFA fifth in South Dakota. LFA 86 takes place April 17 at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The card streams on UFC Fight Pass
