ONE Championship 77’s headliner was a tough one to call heading into its final round, but when the time came to pull trigger, Zebaztian Kadestam did so in beautifully violent fashion. After stuffing takedowns and eating some of Agilan Thani ’s (8-2) best offense in the welterweight bout at at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Kadestam (10-4) was a man possessed coming into the third round. Punches, knees, and elbows made for a pick-your-poison-type ending as the ref, mercifully, stepped in at the 1:56 mark of the round (via Twitter ): Cold blooded finish by Zebaztian Kadestam against Agilan Thani. One new champion was crowned while another defended their title in dominant fashion at today’s “ONE Championship 74: Pinnacle of Power” event, which took place at Studio City Event Center in Macau and streamed on the ONE Championship app. In the main event rematch, Geje Eustaquio successfully unified the ONE Championship flyweight titles when he earned a split decision victory over Adriano Moraes in a highly competitive, back-and-forth matchup. Eustaquio (11-6) came into the contest as the interim flyweight titleholder, while Moraes (17-3) attempted to solidify himself as the true undisputed champion. Both men could leave the ring feeling like winners, but Eustaquio was the only one to truly get his hand raised and get the victory on his record.

The event takes place at Hefei Olympic Sports Center Hefei, Anhui, China, and it streams as online pay-per-view in North America. In the headliner, former featherweight champion Narantungalag Jadambaa (11-4), a 40-year-old Mongolian fighter who recent rebounded from a title loss to Marat Gafurov with a third-round submission victory over Kotetsu Boku, takes on Eric Kelly (12-2), a 34-year-old Filipino fighter who had strung together three straight wins before a submission defeat to Ev Ting in his most recent appearance. Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke Next month’s “ONE Championship 34: Askren vs. Santos” event is complete with the addition of five new bouts, including a title fight. Supporting a welterweight title fight between champ Ben Askren and challenger Luis Santos in the main event will be a strawweight championship bout between champ Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke (5-0) and Yago Bryan Farias de Morais (3-0). Promotion officials announced the new championship bout today. “ONE Championship 34: Pride of Lions” takes place Nov. 13 at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
