Lion Fight Promotions on Monday announced that French Muay Thai champion Jennifer Colomb is the new opponent to face Cris “Cyborg” Justino in a Lion Fight 11 women’s match on Friday, Sept. 20, at the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. Cyborg was originally slated to face Martina Jindrova, who had to withdraw from the bout due to injury, as announced on AXS TV’s Inside MMA recently

Former Strikeforce women’s featherweight champion and current Invicta Fighting Championships titleholder Cristiane Justino will venture into the world of muay Thai. “Cyborg” has signed on to face renowned kickboxing champion Martina Jindrova at Lion Fight 11 on Sept. 20 in a fight that will air on AXS TV.

UFC 163: Aldo vs. Korean Zombie failed to drive much interest heading into Saturday’s pay-per-view event, which emanated from Rio de Janeiro, and that was reflected in the TV ratings for the preliminary bout broadcast on FX. The UFC 163 Prelims on FX attracted an audience of 1,000,000 viewers for the four-bout, two-hour broadcast. UFC 163 admittedly suffered from a lack of promotional attention overall with the launch of Fox’s new nationwide sports network, Fox Sports 1, and the re-branding of Fuel TV to Fox Sports 2, receiving the lion’s share of the media giant’s focus.

UFC on Fox 8 co-main eventers Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger are two of the top fighters in the UFC welterweight division. They stole the lion’s share of the spotlight leading up to the event.
