Bec Rawlings ADELAIDE, Australia – Bec Rawlings didn’t get off to the greatest start against Lisa Ellis , but that didn’t stop her from achieving a great ending. After hurting Ellis (15-10 MMA, 0-2 UFC) with knees in the clinch late in the first, Rawlings (6-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) took her back and snapped on a rear-naked choke, forcing the submission finish at the 4:09 mark of Round 1. The strawweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 65 event at Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass.

Lisa Ellis An injury has forced Seo Hee Ham (15-6 MMA, 0-1 UFC) off next month’s UFC Fight Night 65 card, and her planned opponent, Bec Rawlings (5-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC), now meets a rival from “The Ultimate Fighter 20″: Lisa Ellis (15-9 MMA, 0-1 UFC). UFC officials today announced the change following an initial report from MMA Kanvas . The nature of Ham’s injury wasn’t disclosed. UFC Fight Night 65 takes place May 10 (but streams live in North America on May 9 due to the time difference) at Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. The entire event, including a four-bout main card, streams on UFC Fight Pass.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission recently released a list of medical suspensions stemming from the event, which took place this past Saturday at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Of course, both fighters can each be cleared early by doctors, though Clark can’t return until Feb. 11, at the earliest. LAS VEGAS — The UFC in July begins filming the first all-female season of its stalwart reality franchise, The Ultimate Fighter, and several notables will vie not only for a contract with the mixed martial arts leader, but a title. “It’s a really cool season,” UFC President Dana White told USA TODAY Sports. “These girls are going to be so fired up, and the girls are way meaner than the men are.” Half of the 16 spots on the show’s cast for The Ultimate Fighter 20, however, were up for grabs Monday after three announced participants were instead signed to contracts, UFC officials told USA TODAY Sports. “One didn’t speak English, one couldn’t make the weight, and one was too young,” White said in Las Vegas, where 32 women’s strawweights converged on a local casino hoping to secure one of eight open spots. “Not only do we need eight more girls, but we also need two alternates,” White added. “What makes this season different than any we’ve ever done is they’ll be fighting for a title, so we have to be fair and make sure they have enough experience
