Amanda Lemos keeps winning. Entering UFC 259 , Lemos (9-1-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) had victories by decision and submission under the promotional banner – and she added a TKO to her resume Saturday at the UFC Apex. In the third preliminary card fight, Lemos dispatched former Invicta FC strawweight champion Livinha Souza with punches at 3:39 of Round 1. From beginning to end, Lemos put on a striking clinic.

Another fight has been added to UFC 259 . On March 6, strawweights Livinha Souza and Amanda Lemos will square off at a location and venue to be announced later. Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Combate was the first to report the booking. Souza (14-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) has won five of her past six fights. A former Invicta FC strawweight champion, Souza has defeated Alex Chambers, Sarah Frota and Ashley Yoder so far in the UFC

Randa Markos will be stepping in on short notice once again. Livinha Souza has been forced out of UFC on ESPN+ 41 and Markos (10-8-1 MMA, 6-7 UFC) will step in to face Kanako Murata (11-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) next week at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. A person with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie, but requested anonymity since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. North Shore News was first to report the change. Markos is coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in her career

An injury has knocked a home-city fighter off next month’s UFC on ESPN+ 13 card. Cynthia Calvillo (8-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) is out of her women’s strawweight fight against Livinha Souza (13-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) with a broken foot, a team official told MMA Junkie on Friday. A replacement is expected to be sought for Souza to remain on the card, though there has not yet been an official announcement form the UFC. Calvillo is a guest fighter this week at UFC 238 in Chicago and is expected to need at least six weeks to recover from the injury. UFC on ESPN+ 13 takes place July 13 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif. The event streams on ESPN+.

Report: Carla Esparza vs. Livinha Souza booked for UFC on ESPN 3 in Miami

A former champion has found her way to the lineup for the UFC’s return to South Florida this spring. Inaugural UFC women’s strawweight champion Carla Esparza (13-6 MMA, 4-4 UFC) will take on Brazil’s Livinha Souza (13-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) at UFC on ESPN 3, according to a report from Brazilian news outlet Combate.com . UFC officials have not yet made a formal announcement of the booking. UFC on ESPN 3 takes place April 27 at American Airlines Arena in Miami.
