One-half of the UFC’s Cosce brothers return to action in September to take on a tough veteran entering his tenth appearance with the promotion. Louis Cosce will meet Trevin Giles at welterweight on Sept. 10. The booking was announced on Friday by Iridium Sports, and MMA Junkie has confirmed the matchup is in the works with multiple sources. The UFC Fight Night event does not yet have a confirmed venue or location

Hong Kong debuted in highlight-reel fashion at UFC 255 on Saturday . In the evening’s curtain jerker, Sasha Palatnikov became the first fighter in UFC history to represent Hong Kong – and also the first to record an octagon victory. As the second-biggest underdog on the entire card, Palatnikov (6-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) picked up the TKO victory over Louis Cosce at 2:27 of Round 3.

Brothers Orion and Louis Cosce on UFC contract-winning performances on DWCS 29

LAS VEGAS – It was a successful night at the office for the undefeated Cosce brothers. Both Orion Cosce (7-0) and Louis Cosce (7-0) earned contracts on Dana White’s Contender Series 29 by scoring big finishes in their bouts. But it was a different kind of night for each brother. Orion had to pull through late, but Louis made quick work of his opponent. After dropping Round 1, Orion rallied by winning Round 2 and made sure to put the stamp on his performance with a late finish over Matt Dixon after an already dominant third round. “I thought he was really strong in the first round,” Orion told reporters, including MMA Junkie, on Tuesday after his win at the UFC Apex in Las Veags

Dana White’s Contender Series 29 results: Both Cosce brothers, two other fighters earn UFC contracts

LAS VEGAS – Dana White’s Contender Series 29 took place Tuesday at the UFC Apex and four fighters walked away with UFC contracts afterward. In the main event, Louis Cosce punched his way into the UFC with a 82-second TKO win over two-time DWCS alumnus Victor Reyna . Earlier on the card, Louis’ brother Orion Cosce, the biggest betting underdog on the card, rallied to TKO previously undefeated highly-touted Matt Dixon in the final minute of Round 3. Both brothers earned UFC contracts. Joining the Cosce brothers as the newest members of the UFC was Josh Parisian . Having competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, Season 2 and The Ultimate Fighter 28, Parisian took the long road to the UFC.
