ONE on TNT III results: John Lineker scores first-round knockout of Troy Worthen, calls out champ Bibiano Fernandes

Brazilian slugger John Lineker (34-9) kept his ONE championship record perfect, scoring an emphatic first-round knockout of Troy Worthen (7-2) to move to 3-0 in the promotion. The contest served as the headlining bout of ONE on TNT III , which took place at Singapore Indoor Stadium and aired in primetime Wednesday in the U.S on TNT. Lineker was aggressive early, pushing forward and landing massive bodyshots with high pressure and reckless abandon. Once Worthen felt the power, Lineker added punches to the chin to his flurries, as well. To his credit, Worthen stood his ground and tried to return fire, but he wasn’t able to implement his wrestling while he was defending powerful strikes. It was playing with fire, and it cost Worthen, who caught a straight right hand to the chin late in the frame.

ONE Championship 80 highlights, including Joshua Pacio’s title win over Yoshitaka Naito

The second time around against Yoshitaka Naito , Joshua Pacio got the job done. Pacio (16-2) won a hard-fought, five-round unanimous decision against Naito (13-2) this past Saturday in the ONE Championship 80 main event to win the strawweight title. The victory avenged a prior title-fight loss for Pacio against Naito from nearly two years ago. The win for Pacio was his fourth straight, and given the title stakes involved, the biggest of his career. For Naito, he’s now without a title once again. He lost the belt to Alex Silva in December 2017, but won it back in a rematch in May.

In an online-streamed finale at Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, Belingon (18-5) landed a spanning back kick to the liver of bantamweight Andrew Leone (8-4), which set up the fight-ending barrage of grounds and pound and knees in the second round. Kevin Belingon showed no regard for the state of Andrew Leone ’s liver en route to a second-round TKO victory in today’s bantamweight main event at “ONE Championship 71: Heroes Of Honor.” Belingon (18-5) put on perhaps the best performance of his career against Leone (8-4) in the event headliner, which took place at Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, and streamed online. After some competitive action in the opening frame, Belingon turned up the heat in the second. He timed a perfect turning back kick which connected hard on the liver of Leone and sent him crashing backward to the canvas. That’s when Belingon’s killer instinct kicked in. Belingon rushed his downed opponent and unleashed a relentless flurry of strikes. He mixed in punches and elbows, but it was a series of grounded knee strikes that finally forced the referee to step in and wave the bout off at the 2:17 mark of Round 2, giving Belingon his fifth consecutive win in ONE Championship competition

ONE Championship 67 saw the crowning on a new champion. In Saturday’s “One Championship 67: Kings of Courage” headliner, which streamed as an online pay-per-view from Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia, Xiong Jing Nan (11-1) claimed the inaugural women’s strawweight championship with a solid performance over Tiffany Teo (7-1). The 30-year-old Chinese fighter picked up her third straight knockout win after battering and ultimately dropping Teo in the fourth round. Check out the highlights above. In the co-headliner, Stefer Rahardian (7-0) remained undefeated with a decision victory over fellow flyweight Muhammad Imran (5-2).

Martin Nguyen (9-1) avenged the lone loss of his career and took the featherweight title from champion Marat Gafurov (15-1) in Friday’s headliner. Not only did Nguyen get back a split-decision loss to Gafurov from two years prior, but he handed him his first career setback – and did so after fending off repeated submission attempts to land a sickening knockout in the second round. In the co-main event, Ev Ting (14-4) made easy work of Nobutatsu Suzuki (11-3-2), who hadn’t fought in more than three years. Ground-and-pound got the job done in decisive fashion.
