This past weekend’s KSW 66 event featured a pair of title clashes, with Marian Ziolkowski defending his lightweight title, and Russia’s Ibragim Chuzhigaev claiming the promotion’s light heavyweight belt. KSW 66 took place at Netto Arena in Szczecin, Poland. In the night’s main event, reigning lightweight champ Ziolkowski (24-8-1) scored the second defense of his title with a hard-fought decision win over Borys Mankowski (22-9-1). In the co-feature, Chuzhigaev (16-5) earned the 205-pound belt in his promotional debut, scoring a decision win over Tomasz Narkun (18-5). KSW’s first event of 2022 if official, and a pair of title fights top the bill in Poland. The 10-fight bill for Saturday’s KSW 66 was made official today in Szczecin, including lightweight champion Marian Ziolkowski (23-8-1), who seeks the second defense of his title when he takes on former welterweight champion Borys Mankowski (22-8-1) in the night’s main event. Each man came in on the championship mark at 155 pounds. Meanwhile, in the co-main event, light heavyweight champ Tomasz Narkun (18-4) takes on Russian challenger Ibragim Chuzhigaev (15-5). Each made weight without issue. Three-time UFC veteran Niklas Backstrom (11-3) also returns to the cage at KSW 66 following a four-and-a-half year layoff to take on Sebastian Rajewski (11-6)

KSW 57 took place Saturday in Lodz, Poland, with three championship fights featured on the card. In the main event, Phil De Fries battered Michael Kita to retain his heavyweight title. And in the co-main event, Marian Ziołkowski was impressive before ultimately finishing Roman Szymanski to claim the vacant lightweight title in their rematch. Also, Antun Racic staved off a tough challenge from Bruno Santos to rally for a close unanimous decision win and retain the bantamweight title. KSW 54: Mateusz Gamrot retains lightweight title with dominant decision in Warsaw

Two-division KSW champion Mateusz Gamrot retained his lightweight title and extended his unbeaten record with a strong performance against short-notice replacement Marian Ziolkowski at KSW 54 on Saturday night. Lightweight and feathweight champ Gamrot (17-0) outmuscled Ziolkowski (21-8-1) throughout the five-round title fight in Warsaw, Poland to maintain his status as KSW’s resident “champ champ” as he dominated the action to earn scores of 50-45, 50-45, 49-46 from the three cageside judges. The co-main event saw former boxing contender Izu Ugonoh (1-0) make a successful start to his MMA career as the Pole earned a first-round TKO victory due to a leg injury to his opponent Quentin Domingos (5-2) in their heavyweight matchup.

Polish promotion KSW returns to our screens later tonight as KSW 54 takes place in Warsaw, Poland, and the fight card features a stack of fighters with the potential to finish their respective bouts early. The 16 fighters on the card have registered 127 finishes between them, with a combined total of 71 knockouts and 56 submissions. Now they’ll each be looking to add to their own personal totals when they step into the KSW cage tonight.
