For the first time, CES MMA will set up shop in the state of New York, and there already are some intriguing names on the card. “CES MMA: Forte vs. Secor” will take place May 4 at The Space at Westbury in Westbury, N.Y., the promotion today announced. The card will not get a broadcast on AXS TV, like typically is the case, however. In the main event, UFC veteran Renee Forte (8-4) will take on Bellator and WSOF vet Matt Secor (9-5) at lightweight. The lineup for Saturday’s WSOF 35 card, which features a trio of title fights at the top of the bill, has undergone some late shuffling. The main card now will feature just the three championship bouts, and the prelims have lost a fight due to injury. The middleweight bout between Phil Hawes (4-1) and Eli Wynter (1-0) is off the preliminary card due to a Wynter ankle injury, the promotion today announced. The welterweight bout between Abubakar Nurmagomedov (13-1) and Matt Secor (8-3) now will close out the prelims instead of opening up the main card, leaving three title tilts on NBCSN: Bekbulat Magomedov (7-1) vs. Donovan Frelow (6-1) for the vacant bantamweight title, champ Lance Palmer (11-2) vs

Josh Koscheck Josh Koscheck ’s first fight in nearly 12 years for someone other than the UFC has been put on hold. Koscheck (17-10 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) was scheduled to make his promotional debut later this month at Bellator 148 against Matt Secor (7-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA), but an undisclosed injury has forced him out of the main event in the city he trains in and calls home. Josh Koscheck They’re not fighting each other again – at least not yet – but rivals Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley have their opponents for January’s Bellator 148 event. Bellator officials today announced Koscheck (17-10 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) meets fellow welterweight Matt Secor (7-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) in the headliner, and Daley (37-13-2 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) takes on fellow 170-pounder Andy Uhrich (11-5 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) in the co-headliner. MMAMad.com first reported the Koscheck-Secor pairing. Bellator 148 takes place Jan. 29 at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.
