Neiman Gracie will attempt to get back on the winning track when he meets Michael Lombardo on the first Bellator card of 2023. Gracie (11-4 MMA, 9-4 BMMA), a perennial welterweight contenders and former title challenger, is set to clash with Lombardo (13-3 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) at the Bellator 290 event on Feb. 4, which takes place at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif,. with a main card that airs on CBS following prelims on MMA Junkie.

LAS VEGAS – Former pro boxer Tony Johnson (8-2) did his best to strike at every opportunity but was forced to battle in the clinch throughout a tedious three-round affair with Alton Cunningham (7-2), grinding his way to a decision win, 29-28 on all three cards. The bout served as the featured contest of Tuesday’s Dana White’s Contender Series 18 event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card, which streamed on ESPN+, saw all five fights go to the judges, but two winners were still awarded contracts. Cunningham took the center the start and looked to strike, but it was Johnson who landed clean first, briefly staggering his opponent with a big right hand

Dana White’s Contender Series returns next month, and the cards for this season’s events continue to fill. UFC officials recently revealed the five-fight lineup for the second card of the upcoming 10-week run, Dana White’s Contender Series 18, which takes place June 25 at the brand new UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.
