Grove (24-18) will headline KSW 78 in a rematch against Michal Materla (31-9), the promotion officially announced Monday. The bout will be contested at a contracted weight of 195 pounds. The card takes place Jan. 21 at Netto Arena in Szczecin, Poland and will be available for purchase on KSW TV

KSW officials announced the news today, saying in a press release that Khalidov (34-5-2) “does not want to hold the division up and that there is only one fight he is after at the moment.” That reference appears to be a hope for a rematch with light heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun, whom Khalidov lost to in a superfight in March. A four-man tournament will start in October at KSW 45, the promotion announced.

Facing Polish middleweight standout Michal Materla (24-5), Palhares (18-8), who’s been fighting overseas since both the UFC and WSOF released him following controversial submission finishes, ate a stiff second-round uppercut. After Palhares tapped out Jake Shields and held the submission even after the referee’s intervention, WSOF officials stripped him of the belt and indefinitely suspended him from the promotion.
