Welcome to Dan Tom’s “Fight Vault,” where MMA Junkie’s resident fight analyst delves into the archives to select his top five. Today we look at the top five bantamweight battles of all time in anticipation of Saturday’s UFC 238 title fight for the vacant 135-pound belt between Henry Cejudo and Marlon Moraes. The list consists of four UFC fights, including an appearance from from former flyweight king Demetrious Johnson , but the top spot goes to a WEC classic. Legacy Kickboxing 1 video highlights: An arm snapped in half, and a win for Pat Barry

Filed under: AXS TV Fights , Featured , Featured Videos , News , Videos Legacy FC made its first foray into the world of kickboxing on Friday night, and its debut wasn’t short of highlights. Included at the event at Bayou Music Center in Houston, with a live broadcast on AXS TV, was a main event between standouts Cosmo Alexandre and Regian Eersel. But the show also featured well-known MMA veterans Pat Barry and Miguel Torres – who were on different ends of the success spectrum. Barry, a former UFC heavyweight and no stranger to kickboxing, returned to the win column with a split-decision over Demoreo Dennis. Torres, a former WEC bantamweight champion and former UFC fighter, made his kickboxing debut, but was knocked down several times and cut open by Angel Huerta en route to a 30-25 loss across the board. The card also featured Valentina Shevchenko with another win for her resume, this time over Lindsay Haycraft; a TKO for Marco Pique over Michael Corley; and a vicious broken arm suffered by Lucas Pimenta against Alex Morono

Yoshiyuki Yoshida pulls out of tonight’s Titan FC 31 headliner against Mike Ricci

Tonight’s Titan FC 31 event has had a major turn of events just hours before the card starts. After UFC veteran Mike Ricci (10-4) missed weight on Thursday for the main event lightweight title fight, his opponent, Yoshiyuki Yoshida (17-6), has decided to bail out of the bout altogether. A Titan official told MMAjunkie an official statement from the promotion is expected to be released soon. Sherdog.com first reported the fight’s cancellation. The fight was changed from a title bout to a catchweight fight on Thursday after Ricci came in at 157 pounds. Yoshida, also a UFC veteran, came in at 154.4 – on target for the title fight

Former WEC featherweight champion Miguel Torres (43-7) will fight Bellator MMA vet Desmond Green (11-3) later this month in Titan FC 31’s co-headliner. Titan FC officials today confirmed the fight with MMAjunkie. Titan FC 31 takes place Oct. 31 at USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Fla., with a main card on CBS Sports Network.

Former WEC bantamweight champion and UFC vet Miguel Torres has joined the lineup for Legacy FC’s debut kickboxing event. Legacy FC owner Mick Maynard today confirmed his participation with MMAjunkie. Torres (43-7 MMA), who’s won three consecutive MMA fights since a three-fight skid with the UFC and WSOF from 2012-2013, takes on Angel Huerta (6-3), a Legacy FC vet who also competed in the World Combat League kickboxing promotion. For the first since November 2011 – a span of more than two years – former WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres is back in the winner’s circle. The 33-year-old Torres (41-7), who’s competed for organizations ranging from the WEC to UFC to Word Series of Fighting, defeated Giovanni Moljo (4-6) at “United Combat League: Havoc in Hammond” this past Saturday in Indiana. Check out the full fight video above, courtesy of Chicago’s MMA . The pro-Torres crowd saw a lopsided win for the Chicago-area fighter, who picked up 30-27 scores on all three judges’ cards. While he was a heavy favorite over a clearly outmatched opponent, Torres picked up a much-needed win.
