Filed under: AXS TV Fights , News , Videos Myron Dennis and Ryan Spann were supposed to have fought before. A broken nose on Spann’s end kept that from happening, but that wasn’t the end of the beef. In fact, it was just the start. After Danilo Marques stepped in to meet Dennis (15-6) at LFA 9, Spann (11-5) took to Twitter to let his feelings on the replacement bout be known.

Alex Nicholson picks up heavyweight win, aims for UFC return

New LFA 9 main event: Myron Dennis vs. Danilo Marques, who replaces Ryan Spann

With just over a week out, LFA 9 has a new main event. The promotion announced today that former Legacy FC light heavyweight champion Myron Dennis will now take on Danilo Marques in the headliner after Ryan Spann withdrew from the bout. LFA did not announce why Spann pulled out. LFA 9 takes place April 14 at FireLake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma, with card being televised on AXS TV. Marques (7-1) will be making his international debut on short notice.

Legacy FC has put together an intriguing card with some familiar names for its March 21 return to AXS TV. Legacy FC 29, which takes place at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Okla., features a light-heavyweight headliner between Paul Buentello (33-15) and Myron Dennis (9-2). The organization’s vacant title is on the line. Buentello, a former UFC and Strikeforce title challenger, recently made his 205-pound debut and knocked out James McSweeney. He now looks for his fifth straight victory when he meets Dennis, a onetime Bellator fighter who makes his Legacy FC debut after winning four of his past five fights. As MMAjunkie recently reported , Legacy FC 29 also marks the promotional debut of “The Ultimate Fighter 12″ winner Jonathan Brookins (13-6), a former lightweight and featherweight who heads all the way down to flyweight for a bout with fellow 125 pounder Cody Fuller (10-7)
