KSW’s first event of 2022 if official, and a pair of title fights top the bill in Poland. The 10-fight bill for Saturday’s KSW 66 was made official today in Szczecin, including lightweight champion Marian Ziolkowski (23-8-1), who seeks the second defense of his title when he takes on former welterweight champion Borys Mankowski (22-8-1) in the night’s main event. Each man came in on the championship mark at 155 pounds. Meanwhile, in the co-main event, light heavyweight champ Tomasz Narkun (18-4) takes on Russian challenger Ibragim Chuzhigaev (15-5)

UFC vet Niklas Backstrom meets Brian Moore under BAMMA banner at Bellator 169 in Dublin

Niklas Backstrom Bellator’s December debut in Ireland, a co-promotion, has a pair of new BAMMA bouts set for the lineup. UFC veteran Niklas Backstrom (10-2) will take on Ireland’s own Brian Moore (9-4) in a featherweight fight, and Ireland’s Kiefer Crosbie (1-0) will meet England’s Conor Riordan (0-0) at welterweight. Both fights will be part of BAMMA 27, which is happening on the same bill as Bellator 169. Bellator 169, the joint venture with BAMMA 27, takes place Dec. 16 at 3Arena in Dublin. The main card airs on Spike following prelims on MMAjunkie.

UFC Fight Night 69 results: Noad Lahat tops Niklas Backstrom via majority decision

Noad Lahat BERLIN – Niklas Backstrom fought well and earned the victory over Noad Lahat on the scorecards of many MMA fans and media members, but he didn’t take the scorecards that mattered most as he came up on the wrong end of a majority decision. The featherweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 69 event at O2 World Berlin in Germany’s capital city. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass. After an opening minute to Round 1 that saw the fighters circle and little more, it was Lahat (9-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) who scored a takedown and looked to control the long limbs or Backstrom (8-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC). A Backstrom gogoplata attempt turned into an omoplata that was used to sweep Lahat. Backstrom immediately worked to improve his position and was able to take Lahat’s back and lock in a body triangle

Siver (22-10 MMA, 11-7 UFC), from Germany, is set for a featherweight bout against Japan’s Tatsuya Kawajiri (33-8-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 69. The bout first was reported by MMA in Asia . In addition, a featherweight bout between Niklas Backstrom (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Noad Lahat (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) reportedly is set for the card, according to MMA Fighting .

Wilkinson avoided the kick and r esponded with a counter right hand that dropped his Swedish foe in a heap.
