Cage Warriors Fighting Championship will return to London in October, and a bout between a pair of veterans of “The Ultimate Fighter” is the first set for the card. Bola Omoyele (7-1) will meet Aaron Wilkinson (10-6) in a welterweight bout on the main card. Promotion officials on Tuesday announced the fight booking for Cage Warriors 60. Cage Warriors takes place Oct. 5 at The Forum in London. The promotion most recently visited that venue for Cage Warriors 56 a month ago. The main card will stream live at MMAjunkie.com in North America following prelims on Cage Warriors’ Facebook page. Tickets for the event now are on sale

Cage Warriors 57 results: Daley slashes Chlewicki, Roberts thrills over Fadipe

Paul Daley ‘s return date to the U.S. still isn’t known, but for now, he’s racking up victories in his native England. “Semtex” looked sharp as ever in a first-round stoppage of Polish contender Lukasz Chlewicki (10-3-1). The bout served as the main event of Saturday’s Cage Warriors 57 event, which took place at Echo Arena at Liverpool, Merseyside, England, and streamed in North America on MMAjunkie.com. Daley (33-12-2) took the center of the cage early, but Chlewicki showed no signs of fear, as he fired off punches from the outside.

Talking to Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp about her organization’s first televised pay-per-view event this Saturday night, you get the sense that she can’t quite believe she’s doing this with her one-year-old company. “I’m so old school and the mindset is, you never go to pay-per-view until you’ve built that brand big and you can do those big numbers,” Knapp told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). “It took me a little bit to change my mind.” More specifically, Knapp said, it took “a good deal,” one that wouldn’t cost significantly more than what she already was paying to put her all-female fight cards out via internet streams. “And also, you know what? This card deserves it,” said Knapp. “It gives more options to fans to view it, and I figured it’s worth the risk. No expectations, just want to go out and put on a good product like we always do.” That is how this grand experiment started, by relying on both the strength of the fights and the chance to watch them for free on the Internet, where MMA fandom lives. First, it was a free online stream through Invicta’s website, then an online pay-per-view through Ustream, and now a move to televised pay-per-view, at least in North America (Invicta FC 6 still will be available via Ustream elsewhere in the world).

Visa issues will force Canadian fighter Charmaine Tweet (4-3) out of her featherweight fight against Ediane Gomes (10-2) on the main card of Invicta FC 6. Stepping in to face Gomes will be Tamikka Brents (2-0). Promotion officials late Wednesday confirmed a report of the injury from MMARising.com . Invicta FC 6 takes place Saturday at Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Mo. The event airs on pay-per-view in North America, and international viewers can watch via an online pay-per-view stream, each for $14.95

Invicta FC Adds DirecTV to North American Pay-Per-View Providers for Coenen vs. Cyborg

Invicta Fighting Championships recently announced that its next event, Invicta FC 6: Coenen vs. Cyborg II , would be available live on pay-per-view in North America. Company president Shannon Knapp on Monday told MMAWeekly.com that they had just added DirecTV to its list of pay-per-view providers in North America. Invicta FC 6 was already set for pay-per-view in the U.S. via iN Demand, DISH, and Avail-TVN, and on Bell TV in Canada. The addition of DirecTV puts the event on all the major pay-per-view carriers in the U.S., marking a significant step forward for the all-women’s fight promotion. Invicta FC 6 features Marloes Coenen and Cris “Cyborg” Justino rematching in the main event with the promotion’s inaugural featherweight championship on the line. It is slated for the July 13 at the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City

Invicta FC 6: Cyborg vs. Coenen II , the promotion’s next event, will be available on traditional cable and satellite provider-based pay-per-view in the United States and Canada. Promotion officials announced the move, a first for the company, on Thursday. Invicta FC 6 features Cris Cyborg vs. Marloes Coenen rematching in a headlining featherweight title bout, while the co-main event features undefeated strawweights Ayaka Hamasaki and Claudio Gadelha. Invicta’s previous events have been available as an online-only pay-per-view on it’s website and via U-Stream. Invicta FC 6 will still be available via U-Stream for international viewers, but will now be available in the U.S. via iN Demand, DISH, and Avail-TVN, and on Bell TV in Canada.

Connecticut and all of Canada legalize MMA in separate votes

A pair of regulatory hurdles to MMA legalization fell today in North America. In Connecticut, a bill to legalize MMA passed the senate, clearing the way for events to be held in the state. North of the border, Canadian legislators amended a law to allow combat sports, including MMA. The former means that the sport is legal in all but one state in the U.S., while the latter bolsters legislation previously left to provinces within Canada.
