The Bellator card, which was scheduled to go down on Nov. 16 at ADIDAS Arena in Paris, has been canceled and the fighters who were competing on the event will be rescheduled for other cards. Bellator 281 video: Oliver Enkamp comes from behind to submit Mark Lemminger with buggy choke

LONDON – Oliver Enkamp was having a rough night until he pulled off a submission of the year candidate at Bellator 281. Down two rounds heading into the final frame against Mark Lemminger (12-5 MMA, 2-4 BMMA) in Friday’s event at OVO Arena Wembley in London, Enkamp (11-3 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) pulled off a buggy choke less than 30 seconds into Round 3 to get back to the win column. Enkamp was dropped and almost finished in the second round, but managed to survive. At the start of Round 3, Enkamp attempted a spinning back kick but was taken down when Lemminger caught his attempt. However, Enkamp immediately capitalized by wrapping his legs around Lemminger’s neck and body, submitting him with a buggy choke at the 0:25 mark of Round 3. After notching his third straight first-round finish under the Bellator banner on Saturday, Enkamp (10-2 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) spoke to reporters on his mindset going into the fight, his aspirations of headlining an event in his home country of Sweden, how he was inspired by Netflix series “Cobra Kai,” and much more. Bellator 248 results: Michael ‘Venom’ Page grinds out decision over Ross Houston in Paris

The main event of Bellator 248 saw Michael Page go the distance for only the fourth time in his professional career. But the English welterweight did enough to take the victory on the scorecards, as he claimed a unanimous decision win over the debuting Ross Houston in Paris. Former Cage Warriors welterweight champion Houston (8-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) came out looking calm, composed, and patient in the early moments of the 175-pound catchweight matchup, and appeared to make a major breakthrough when he caught a jumping knee attempt from Page (18-1 MMA, 14-1 BMMA) and took “MVP” to the mat. However, Houston’s pursuit of an improved position on the mat meant he didn’t unload any serious ground and pound from top position as an opportunity to connect with some significant offense came and went with the sound of the bell at the end of the round, Page came out at the start of Round 2 with his hands uncharacteristically high, and stung Houston with a rapier-like right hand. He then backed Houston against the cage and snapped the Scot’s head backward with an uppercut that Houston dismissed with a wagging finger

It’s one British fighter out, one in as Stefano Paterno gets a new opponent for his hometown promotional debut at Bellator Europe 5 in Milan. Former Cage Warriors welterweight champion Paterno (12-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) was due to take on Galore Bofando at the Allianz Cloud on October 12, but Bellator officials confirmed to MMA Junkie that the London Shootfighters welterweight has withdrawn from the card, with fellow countryman Ashley Reece signing on the dotted line to replace him. Known as “The Beast”, Reece (8-1 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) has appeared twice under the Bellator Europe banner, having picked up back-to-back victories at Bellator Europe 1 in Newcastle and Bellator Europe 2 in Birmingham.
