Macy Chiasson is two-for-two over Pannie Kianzad – and both fights ended in the same fashion. In a rematch of their TUF 28 Finale bout from 2018, Chiasson (10-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) used a rear-naked choke to submit Kianzad (17-8 MMA, 5-5 UFC) at 3:54 in Round 1. The women’s bantamweight fight took place Saturday at UFC Fight Night 239 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Chiasson got the job done in three minutes less than her prior rear-naked choke win over Kianzad

At UFC Fight Night 224 , Vieira (14-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) defeated Kianzad (16-7 MMA, 5-4 UFC) via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). The bantamweight bout at The O2 in London was a smothering, one-sided performance between two UFC-ranked contenders. In each round, Vieira quickly dragged the fight to the canvas with relatively no issue at all. Despite the dominant control, Vieira was unable to lock in a submission, though there were attempts. She tried an arm-triangle choke, but Kianzad evaded the finish.

Pannie Kianzad vs. Lina Lansberg set for UFC Fight Night on April 16

A pair of Swedish women’s bantamweights will collide on April 16, with Pannie Kianzad facing Lina Lansberg in a rematch nearly 10 years in the making. MMA Junkie today confirmed with a person with knowledge of the booking that the contest is expected to take place at a UFC Fight Night event on April 16. That person requested anonymity because promotion officials have yet to make a formal announcement. The matchup was first reported by FrontKick.online . Lansberg currently sits at No. 13 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie women’s bantamweight rankings , while Kianzad is an honorable mention.

Kianzad (15-6 MMA, 4-3 UFC), who saw her four-fight winning streak snapped at the hands of Raquel Pennington in September, thinks a matchup with Miesha Tate makes perfect sense. Since coming out of retirement in early 2021, Tate has split her two appearances. She had a TKO finish of Marion Reneau in July, followed by a unanimous decision loss to Ketlen Vieira in the UFC Fight Night 198 headliner in November. “I mean, we both lost to ‘Rocky,’ right?” Kianzad told MMA Junkie. “If you look at the rankings, there is nobody left (other) than me and her that’s not injured, been pregnant or pregnant, waiting to deliver, injured or already matched.
