There certainly has been a fair share of women whose own MMA journeys were inspired by Ronda Rousey ’s success. For Pauline Macias , that might ring especially true. Like Rousey, Macias had dedicated the majority of her life to judo. But after 20 years, despite the fact she was still doing well at it, she was burned out. It was time for something else. So what better inspiration than her childhood friend, who had just basically pushed the UFC into creating a weight division around her?
