Pedro Nobre was on the cusp of fighting for a Titan FC title when a “dumb mistake” delayed the entire operation. Now Nobre (18-2) has gold in his sights again when he takes on flyweight champion Jose Torres (3-0) in the Titan FC 43 main event on Saturday. The fight originally was supposed to take place at Titan FC 42 until a Nobre injury forced him out. Titan FC 43 takes place Jan. 21 at Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Fla., and the entire card streams on UFC Fight Pass. “Unfortunately, when we were supposed to fight, on the Monday before, as soon as my visa was issued, I got hurt,” Nobre told MMAjunkie.

Pedro Nobre Brazilian flyweight Pedro Nobre had been dieting for a headlining fight with fellow UFC vet Tim Elliott and said he was within 11 pounds of making weight when he heard Titan FC 36 was canceled . Now, he said he’ll relax a bit while tightening his financial belt for the upcoming holidays. “They’re saying it will be in January now,” Nobre told MMAjunkie. “I hope they can rebook us as early as possible. I’ll just keep training and enjoy Christmas with the family.” Titan FC 36 was scheduled to take place Friday at Kansas City Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo., and stream live on UFC Fight Pass. This past Thursday, the promotion announced Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson suffered “health complications related to an unexpected surgical procedure” and was unable to lead the event.

Titan Fighting Championship had to do some shuffling for its event later this month, but now has things back intact. After Vinny Magalhaes had to pull out with a bad staph infection, Raphael Davis (13-2) has stepped up to meet Jason Brilz (21-5-1) in the main event of Titan FC 28. Although a precise bout order for the rest of the show has yet to be determined, the card is complete with 11 fights. Another shuffle was made as D.J. Linderman (15-7) was moved to Titan FC 29 to take on the newly signed Walt Harris (5-3). That left Dave Herman (21-6) without an opponent, and UFC vet Kalib Starne s (16-8-1) was brought in for the matchup.

Visa issues hit Friday’s Titan FC 27 debut on CBS Sports Network

Titan FC’s debut show on CBS Sports Network has hit a few road bumps and forced some changes to Friday’s seven-bout card. Officials today announced that visa issues have forced flyweight Pedro Nobre and featherweight Gleristone Santos from their respective bouts at Titan FC 27. Kenneth Porter (4-1) has stepped in for Nobre (15-1-2) and now fights fellow flyweight Bill Friday (4-2). Additionally, Jeff Robbins (0-0) has replaced Santos (25-4) and now meets featherweight Kalvin Hackney (12-3).
