Dana White sends encouraging video to ex-UFC fighter, current nurse fighting COVID-19 pandemic

UFC president Dana White has always liked Phillipe Nover . At one point in time, White called Nover “the next Anderson Silva.” While Nover’s career path may have taken a turn in a different direction, UFC president White still has a lot of respect for the former cast member of “The Ultimate Fighter 8” – maybe even more respect than when he was an active UFC fighter. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Nover (11-8-1) is serving as a registered nurse in the New York City area. Nover’s courage and selflessness to fight COVID-19 on the frontlines caught White’s attention. Recently, White sent Nover a message of encouragement in a video posted by TMZ : “Phillipe, Dana here. I’m hearing all the incredible things that you’re doing on the frontlines in New York City.
