While Marlon Moraes is a significant favorite over Brandon Hempleman at this Saturday's World Series of Fighting 4 event, there's one thing neither Moraes nor oddsmakers can prepare for: "Hot Rod's" element of surprise. Entering his promotional debut against one of the most highly touted bantamweight prospects in the game today, few are giving Hempleman a chance of getting his hand raised against an opponent riding an impressive four-fight win streak.
As for Hempleman (9-1), he views his under-the-radar profile as an advantage and believes his lack of notoriety will be advantageous against Moraes (10-4-1) come fight night, particularly in the striking department.
"I think he's going to underestimate (my striking), so he better be ready for it," Hempleman told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). "There's not a lot of video on me."
Having fought his first 10 professional bouts in regional promotions throughout the United States and Europe, Hempleman has quietly worked his way up to the opportunity he will get Saturday at Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif.
Moraes is a fighter who has received a lot of attention since defeating Miguel Torres and Tyson Nam in his first two WSOF appearances, and Hempleman has been keeping a close eye on his opponent's body of work.
"I think (his standup) is good," Hempleman said.

Cung Le said he's waiting to hear whether his next career move involves fighting or coaching. At the moment, he doesn't know which one it will be. Le (9-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC), who his past November knocked out ex-champ Rich Franklin , said he still wants to fight Michael Bisping . And until recently, he was under the impression he would do so. "Before [Bisping's] last fight, my camp was talking to (UFC matchmaker) Joe (Silva) about a potential matchup, and they said that if he wins, it looks good," Le told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). "Next thing I know, two or three days ago, I saw that Bisping was going to fight in October in England. "Even though I'm not 100 percent, I wasn't 100 percent in China, either. If they really needed me, they would have called me. I thought we were working something out, but obviously, the next day, the word was that they were targeting me to coach." The former Strikeforce champ might be referring to an MMAjunkie.com report earlier this month that stated he was targeted to coach on "The Ultimate Fighter: China," which is slated to debut in November and run for 12 episodes. Featherweight, lightweight and welterweight divisions are soon to audition for the show. Le thought that was the answer he was waiting for, but as he said, "no one's called me." "So I caught (UFC President) Dana (White) today (at the UFC Fan Expo), and he told me I'm on his call list," he added.

Courtesy of Damon Martin and official MMAWeekly.com content partner Bleacher Report . Costa Philippou is gunning for a fight when he returns later this year, and he couldn’t think of a better opponent to face than perennial UFC bad boy Michael Bisping . Philippou was most recently scheduled for UFC on FX 8 in a bout against Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, but the New York-based fighter suffered a deep cut during training that forced him out of the bout. Now with the wound almost healed, Philippou has one name on his radar, and he’s doing everything in his power to make the fight happen. “He’s a huge name. Obviously beating Bisping it would put me in the top three, and it works for Bisping too because beating me, it will get him up in the top of the ranks.
