Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) today announced that its tenth event will take place in the Hawkeye State and will feature the first-ever RFA welterweight title fight pitting two of the sport’s most exciting young strikers, Mike “Biggie” Rhodes and Alan Jouban , against each other for the belt. Curran (34-15) fights Pedro Munhoz (8-0) for the Resurrection Fighting Alliance bantamweight title next week at RFA 9. Keoni Koch Injured, Jeff Curran Steps into RFA 9 Main Event Title Fight

Resurrection Fighting Alliance officials on Friday announced that Keoni Koch is out of the RFA 9 main event title fight with an injury. Jeff Curran has already agreed to step in and take his place against Pedro Munhoz. Keoni, the older brother of UFC fighter Erik Koch, re-injured his hand, according to RFA officials. Curran now steps into the RFA 9 main event to battle Munhoz for the vacant RFA bantamweight championship.

Keoni Koch injured, Jeff Curran meets Pedro Munhoz for 135 title at RFA 9

After pulling out of a flyweight title fight for Resurrection Fighting Alliance, Jeff Curran now will return to bantamweight and get a shot at a belt. Curran (34-15) will step in for an injured Keoni Koch (5-0) and will meet Pedro Munhoz (8-0) for the RFA 135-pound title next month at RFA 9. RFA officials announced the change late Friday. “RFA 9: Curran vs. Munhoz” takes place Aug. 16 at StubHub Center in Los Angeles.
