Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) today announced that its tenth event will take place in the Hawkeye State and will feature the first-ever RFA welterweight title fight pitting two of the sport’s most exciting young strikers, Mike “Biggie” Rhodes and Alan Jouban , against each other for the belt. Like many of the other RFA fighters who had a layoff before returning to action earlier this year, middleweight prospect Casey “Spider Monkey” Ryan came back to MMA with an impressive win. At the XFS this March, Ryan picked up a second-round TKO stoppage of veteran Matt Lagler, and in the process managed to showcase his ever-diversifying game. “There are things I could have definitely done better that we’ve been working on, but I got to show my striking, which I haven’t got to show off in other fights,” said Ryan.

RFA Featherweight Jordan Rinaldi Believes Change in Camp Has Him on the Right Track

Following the first loss of his career last November, featherweight up-and-comer Jordan “All Day” Rinaldi decided to make a change. Following the suggestion of his promotion, Rinaldi transplanted himself across the country from his native North Carolina to Las Vegas, and hasn’t looked back. “The RFA invited me to one of their other fighters’ places to train to see if I’d like it,” said Rinaldi. “I actually fought the guy before; his name is Mark Dickman.

And while countless athletes around the world are vying for one of the UFC’s limited roster spots, Rinaldi knows that fighting for RFA has him one step ahead of everyone else. Rinaldi (6-1) nearly had his path to the UFC set in 2012 when he selected for “The Ultimate Fighter 15,” where his was an elimination-round win away from earning a spot on the cast. Unfortunately, Joe Proctor quickly submitted him and, and Rinaldi never had the chance to truly showcase his talents.
