The main event sees “TUF 5″ winner Nate Diaz  return to the cage to take on fellow lightweight Gray Maynard  for a third time in a rivalry that dates all the way back to Season 5 of the show. Diaz (16-9 MMA, 11-7 UFC) submitted Maynard (11-2-1 MMA, 9-2-1 UFC) in the semifinal round of the show to move to the final, where he defeated Manny Gamburyan. More than two years later, the two contenders met again in a battle with championship implications.
