It looks two Canadian combat-sports vets are about to stage their version of “The Money Fight.” Former WBC champ Jean Pascal, who this past December retired from competition, today announced he’s set to return to the ring in a fight against former UFC fighter and hockey enforcer Steve Bosse . The two are set to meet on June 29 at a venue to be announced. “It’s time to put his boxing career on ice and send him back to MMA,” Pascal, 35, wrote ( via Twitter ). Steve Bosse is out and in his place Nick Roehrick has signed with the UFC to fight Jared Cannonier in a light heavyweight bout on just three days’ notice, a company official today told MMAjunkie. The TUF 25 Finale takes place Friday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas

The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale continues to take shape with a new light heavyweight fight. Steve Bosse (12-2 MMA, ,2-1 UFC) will fight Jared Cannonier (9-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at the event this summer. UFC officials announced the new booking today. The TUF 25 Finale takes place Friday, July 7, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card is expected to air on FS1 following early prelims UFC Fight Pass, though the card hasn’t been finalized. It features the “TUF 25” tournament final

OTTAWA, Canada – Donald Cerrone , Krzysztof Jotko , Steve Bosse and Sean O’Connell each earned $50,000 fight-night bonuses at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 89 event. Cerrone and Jotko each earned “Performance of the Night” bonuses, and Bosse and O’Connell took home “Fight of the Night” honors. UFC Executive Vice President and General Manager of Canada, Australia and New Zealand Tom Wright announced the winners at the post-event press conference, which MMAjunkie attended. UFC Fight Night 89 took place at The Arena at TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The main card aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 2 and UFC Fight Pass.

If he ever gets to that level, he wants it to be on merit and by doing it his own way. That’s through vicious, highlight-reel knockout victories. “Every time I go in the cage I’m here to try to put my opponent down,” Bosse told MMAjunkie. “I hit hard and I want to prove for the organization, I want to give a good show and show I’m a knockout artist.” Bosse (11-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC), who fights Sean O’Connell (17-7 MMA, 2-3 UFC) at this month’s UFC Fight Night 89 event, was a professional minor-league hockey player before transitioning full-time to MMA.
