The lineup for the UFC’s return to Abu Dhabi has its second fight with the addition of a lightweight matchup. Ottman Azaitar (11-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will make his promotional debut against Teemu Packalen (8-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) at UFC 242, a UFC official today told MMA Junkie.

The UFC plans to stage at least 40 events in 2016, and during that time, hundreds of fighters will enter and exit the octagon. While pre-fight hype is an enjoyable aspect of the sport, it’s ultimately the in-cage performances that speak most to fans. Teemu Packalen reflects on 24-second ‘perfect’ performance and first UFC victory

Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos LONDON – Teemu Packalen described his 24-second submission victory over Thibault Gouti at UFC Fight Night 84 as the “perfect” performance. The quick finish on Saturday at The O2 in London marked the third fastest submission victory ever in a UFC lightweight bout. Packalen (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) set it up when he landed a thunderous uppercut in the opening second then quickly jumped on the back of Gouti (11-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) to end the fight with a rear-naked choke . Packalen needed the victory after he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Mickael Lebout in his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 72 this past July. The fear of going 0-2 to start his UFC career could have rattled some fighters, but Packalen said he didn’t put any additional pressure on himself to perform
