Donald Trump ‘s inauguration was a resounding success and several UFC fighters were attended the after party to show their support. It’s no secret that a large portion of well-known MMA fighters are in favor of Trump’s leadership. Due to this, a handful of big names under the UFC banner turned up at the starlight ball to celebrate the president . Following his show of support for Donald Trump after defending his heavyweight throne at UFC 309, Jon Jones was invited to the event. Jones met up with some familiar faces and had a ball .

When Cybertruck explosion suspect Matthew Livelsberger was identified by authorities, Tim Kennedy asked on social media if anyone knew him, given the military credentials. As it turns out, Kennedy himself did. In a video clip unearthed by “Inside Edition” on Friday, Kennedy and Livelsberger competed together on a History Channel shooting competition series called “Ultimate Solider Challenge.” Kennedy’s lapse in memory could be due to the name he knew Livelsberger by: Matt Burg. Kennedy issued a statement Friday as to his confusion and thoughts on the incident. “13 years ago I competed in a shooting competition on History Channel called The Ultimate Soldiers Challenge. My partner in this competition was Matt Burg(aka Matt Livelsberger)

Former UFC, WEC, and Strikeforce fighter Tim Kennedy isn’t happy that some of the top UFC fighters train with Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic. Kadyrov’s reign of power has been marred with alleged human rights violations, assassinations, torture, and disappearances. It’s been enough that the Human Rights Watch has called them ‘crimes against humanity.’ Kennedy voiced his outrage about fighters training with the Chechen leader and Russian politician on social media and included a video to welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev working out with Kadyrov. “Let me get this right… It’s totally fine that the UFC controls what a fighter wears on his shorts, whether or not they train with James Kraus, or what they do on their social media, but it’s totally fine for them to train with a terrorist,” Kennedy wrote on Monday. UFC middleweight contender and former Strikeforce title challenger Tim Kennedy made his official exit from MMA today when he formally announced his retirement in a lengthy social media post. Kennedy (18-6 MMA, 3-2 UFC), who last competed at UFC 206 in December, where he suffered a third-round TKO loss to Kelvin Gastelum , has been a participant in the sport since 2001 and over that time has built a respected reputation both in and out of the cage. Although the announcement was somewhat unexpected, the support for Kennedy’s decision came in droves from media, teammates, coaches and fellow fighters.
