Former two-time bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw has notified the UFC of his retirement. Dillashaw notified the fight promotion of his retirement after undergoing a recent shoulder surgery, according to his manager Tiki Ghosn. The news was first reported by Michael Wonsover after UFC Roster Watch tweeted that Dillashaw was no longer part of the active UFC roster. Dillashaw made his way to the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter reality series. He advanced to the finals of season 14 but was defeated by John Dodson in the finals

Former two-time bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw entered the UFC 280 main event against champion Aljamain Sterling with an injured shoulder. Early in the opening round, Dillashaw separated his shoulder and barely made it out of the first frame. Between rounds Dillashaw’s cornerman popped his shoulder back in place and he went out in the second round

Garbrandt took aim at Dillashaw on social media, calling his former teammate a ‘b*tch’ and alluded to Dillashaw’s past use of performance-enhancing drugs. “This dude is a b*tch. 10 days before our first fight the UFC flew me to Las Vegas to get epidural shots in my back because I couldn’t even walk I didn’t make any excuses or cry about it after I lost this cheating bastard.
