By all accounts, Tommy Quinn had a rough go at KSW 70. While nothing but time (and perhaps some Percocets) will make his arm feel better, a good hamburger is always a medicine for lifting the spirits. Two days after he suffered a gruesome, fight-ending arm injury , Quinn was surprised by none other than his opponent, Albert Odzimkowski – who brought some tasty treats as a pick-me-up. According to Quinn, who is scheduled to undergo surgery for a dislocated elbow and torn ligaments and tendons, said Odzimkoswki traveled 200km (approximately 120 miles) to bring him the spread. When you’re getting slammed, it’s best to not put down a post-hand – especially when all of your weight is going to come down on top of it. That’s the mistake Tommy Quinn (9-6) made Saturday against Albert Odzimkowski (12-6) at KSW 70 in Lodz, Poland. A 188-pound catchweight prelim between the two fighters ended in grotesque fashion at the 2:56 mark of Round 1 after Odzimkowski elevated and slammed Quinn to the mat. When Odzimkowski lifted Quinn, they were in a belly-to-back position. Sensing that what goes up usually comes down, Quinn instinctually stuck his left arm down to brace his fall.

Cage Warriors 62 results: UFC vet Curt Warburton taps out Murch in 49 seconds

If UFC veteran Curt Warburton was looking to send a message to the lightweights in his new home at Cage Warriors Fighting Championship, he might have done it. Warburton tore right through Wesley Murch for a standing rear-naked choke victory just 49 seconds into the fighters’ main event at Cage Warriors 62. Warburton’s quick finish was one of four first-round stoppages on Saturday’s main card. Cage Warriors 62 took place at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England. The main card streamed live on MMAjunkie following prelims that streamed on Cage Warriors’ Facebook page.

Curt Warburton (160.2 pounds) and Wesley Murch (160.6), who meet in a 160-pound catchweight fight, today hit their marks. The event’s main card streams live on MMAjunkie (4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT) following Facebook prelims from Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England.

A busy month for Cage Warriors Fighting Championship has seen a few changes to close out the promotion’s busiest year ever. Cage Warriors will put on three shows this month: Cage Warriors 62 takes place Saturday in Newcastle, England. On Dec. 13, the promotion travels to Amman, Jordan, for Cage Warriors 61 (that card kept its original numbering after a cancellation earlier this fall).
