The end came with Ige blasting away with several hard shots and Woodson looking for a desperation takedown before he ate numerous punches in succession before the referee decided he’d seen enough. It wasn’t until after he got backstage that Ige heard that there was some kind of controversy attached to his fight with reporters telling him that the commentary team praised his performance but ultimately criticized the referee for making a bad call stopping the fight.

He first has a rematch with Chris Weidman, the man who took his belt, when the two square off at UFC 168 on Dec. 28 in Las Vegas, but as much as he is focused on regaining the title, Silva still entertains the idea of someday facing the likes of welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre or light heavyweight record holder Jon Jones. Michael Bisping’s manager: Rumor about sparring knockout ‘complete bollocks’

There’s a rumor going around that UFC middleweight Michael Bisping was knocked out in a recent sparring session. It’s not so much a rumor as it is “complete bollocks,” as the fighter’s manager put it. Bisping, the rumor goes, recently visited Wild Card Boxing Club, which is Freddie Roach’s famed Los Angeles gym that’s home to both boxers and the occasional MMA fighter. After allegedly disrespecting a sparring partner, a coach sent in a “professional boxer,” who promptly knocked out Bisping. The problem, according to manager Audie Attar, is that there’s no truth to the rumor. In fact, he said Bisping hasn’t been to the gym since 2012.
