The third episode of the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter saw the TV ratings drop off following a week two upswing. The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate opened to the lowest viewership of any season of the venerable reality series, but Wednesday night’s Episode 3 notched a new low point for the series at 639,000 viewers, according to the Nielsen TV ratings

Bellator 97 Sees Significant TV Ratings Increase Over First Summer Series Event

Like most summer television programming, Bellator’s Summer Series events have struggled to garner much steam in the TV ratings. Bellator 97 on Wednesday night did reasonably well, however, drawing and average audience of 679,000 viewers on Spike TV, which is well above the 480,000 viewers that Bellator 96 drew on June 19. Bellator’s Season 8 averaged just under 800,000 viewers per event, but that was during the much more viewer friendly winter and spring months. Bellator 97 benefited from a strong fight card that featured two title bouts and the light heavyweight tournament final, which King Mo Lawal won.

Josh Burkman’s Upset Raises WSOF Profile, but WSOF 3 TV Ratings Remain Average

World Series of Fighting 3: Fitch vs. Burkman took place Friday night at The Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Had fans known ahead of time the upset that was brewing, the TV ratings for the show might have jumped out of the promotion’s average range. Josh Burkman shocked most fans and pundits alike by quickly submitting perennial Top 10 welterweight and former UFC championship contender Jon Fitch in the first 41 seconds of their WSOF 3 main event. The upset lit up social media sites after it happened, but that was too late to spark the WSOF 3 TV ratings
