Caceres (8-5, 1 no contest) appeared on the twelfth season of The Ultimate Fighter as a lightweight.  Following the conclusion of the show, he moved to the featherweight division.  After losing his first two fights in the UFC , Caceres dropped down to the bantamweight division. He won three of his first four fights in the new weight class, defeating Cole Escovedo, Damacio Page and Motonobu Tezuka. His one loss in the 135-pound division was by split decision to Edwin Figueroa.
