Exactly a decade ago on March 27, 2010, then-welterweight champion St-Pierre (26-2 MMA, 20-2 UFC) faced Hardy in the UFC 111 headliner looking to notch his fourth straight title defense. It took St-Pierre less than 30 seconds to land a takedown, which was the story of the fight for all five rounds. St-Pierre was able to easily control Hardy on the ground, threatening with numerous submissions and transitioning from mount to the back. With 20 seconds left in Round 1, St-Pierre sank in a deep armbar that had Hardy visibly agonizing in pain.
