Some thought Anderson Silva’s company record of 10 such wins was nearly unbreakable, but now “Mighty Mouse” stands on the cusp of history. Of course, Johnson already owns a record that will never be broken – the latest submission in a championship fight. In April 2015, Johnson squared off with Japanese challenger Kyoji Horiguchi, who was just 24 years old at the time but took “Mighty Mouse” the distance – almost.

Thomas Almeida Thomas Almeida kept his perfect record intact with a thrilling TKO of Yves Jabouin at UFC 186 this past Saturday. Almeida (19-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC), 23, ran through a veteran who entered the fight with eight UFC bouts to his credit. The finishing flurry displayed a near perfect blend of violence and technique as Almeida threw heavy shots to the head while also digging hard to the body.

Evans (19-3-1 MMA, 14-3-1 UFC) and Jackson (36-11 MMA, 8-5 UFC) share history that dates back more than five years. A rivalry brewed into a stint as opposing coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter 10″ and only grew from there. The months of tension and disdain finally concluded with a main event fight at UFC 114 in May 2010. It did not live up to the hype, though, because Evans neutralized “Rampage” with superior wrestling and top control en route to a unanimous decision victory. Both men are former champions of the UFC’s light heavyweight division.
