On Sunday the veteran referee posted a series of tweets following his officiating of a preliminary-card bout at Saturday’s UFC 204 event at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. In the final minute of the featured UFC Fight Pass prelim – after three rounds of hard-hitting back-and-forth action – Mike Perry (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) finally delivered a fight-ending knee on welterweight Danny Roberts (13-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC).
Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos MANCHESTER, England – Marc Diakiese ’s UFC debut started on a sour note when Lukasz Sajewski scored a takedown and neutralized his explosive striking game. Diakiese (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) got his game going in the second round, however, and scored a TKO win over Sajewski (13-3 MMA, 0-3 UFC) after battering him against the cage. The lightweight bout was part of UFC 204’s preliminary card at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. It aired on FS1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of the main card on pay-per-view. The early takedown was a worst-case scenario for Diakiese, who has battled criticism of his ground game during his rise as a prospect.
