Undefeated UFC bantamweight prospect Sean O’Malley is officially on the road to recovery. O’Malley on Friday issued a statement on Twitter after having successful surgery on his foot for an injury he suffered earlier this month at UFC 222. Out of surgery . Fucked up and thankful there are people in this world smart enough to be able to cut open my foot and fix me so I can fight again .

UFC lightweight Beneil Dariush doesn’t take any chances with his health following a knockout loss. Dariush (14-5-1 MMA, 8-4-1 UFC) succumbed to a 42-second defeat as the result of strikes at UFC 222 earlier this month when he was on the receiving end of an upset knockout against promotional newcomer Alexander Hernandez (9-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC).

Whether visiting a children’s hospital or participating in toy drives for the less fortunate, Cyborg is the type who likes to pay it forward. Beneil Dariush isn’t prepared to label Alexander Hernandez as a dirty fighter following some questionable fight-opening tactics at UFC 222 earlier this month. Hernandez (9-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) entered the lightweight fight as a short-notice replacement and relative unknown. He displayed tremendous power in scoring a 42-second knockout of Dariush (14-5-1 MMA, 8-4-1 UFC) for one of the biggest upsets of the year so far, but it was the opening seconds of the bout that generated the most attention. As soon as the referee instructed the athletes to fight, Hernandez charged toward Dariush with his hands out.
