Belal Muhammad delivered a standout performance in front of his home fans. Fighting in the Middle East for the first time, the Palestinian welterweight faced Takashi Sato at UFC 242 , which took place in Abu Dhabi. Muhammad put the pressure on Sato early, mixing up strikes to the body and the head. Sato landed some solid jabs, but he was caught with a Muhammad overhand left which stumbled him back, but he was able to stay on his feet as he shrugged off Muhammad’s follow-up akedown attempt.

Dustin Poirier continues to rake in big money for his charity stemming from his UFC 242 title fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov. Poirier (25-6 MMA, 17-5 UFC), who suffered a third-round submission loss to lightweight champion Nurmagomedov (28-0 MMA, 12-0 UFC) in their headlining bout in Abu Dhabi earlier this month, pulled in more than $60,000 from an eBay auction with gear from the fight. An open auction wrapped Thursday morning and saw a generous buyer pay $60,200 for a package that includes Poirier’s fight-worn hand wraps, gloves and shorts.
