Rafael Fiziev stepped in to replace the injured Dan Hooker and rematch Justin Gaethje in the UFC 313 co-main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 8. Gaethje and Fiziev first fought at UFC 286 in March 2023. Gaethje narrowly defeated “Ataman” by majority decision and now they’ll run it back nearly two years later

Aaron Pico starting to give up hope for a Jeremy Kennedy rematch in PFL

Aaron Pico would love the gift of a rematch this holiday season, but he’s not getting his hopes up that Santa will come through. Pico (12-4 MMA, 12-4 BMMA) had a six-fight winning streak snapped in 2022 when a shoulder injury at Bellator 286 led to a TKO after the first round against Jeremy Kennedy (19-3 MMA, 4-1 BMMA). Because of that unique circumstance, Pico wants to run it back – and says Kennedy is being elusive about it.

MIAMI – A numbered UFC event returns to Miami on Saturday for the first time in more than 20 years with UFC 287 , which takes place at Kaseya Arena with a main card that airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+. Before fight night arrives, though, notable athletes from the card are scheduled to speak to reporters Wednesday at media day, and MMA Junkie will have a live stream beginning at 10:00 a.m. ET/7:30 a.m. PT. That includes headliners Alex Pereira (7-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) and Israel Adesanya (23-2 MMA, 12-2 UFC), who are scheduled to rematch for the middleweight title in the main event, as well as the four remaining main card matchups and featured prelim bout. If you happen to miss any of the individual sessions on the live stream, check below for the archived videos of each media day.

Video: Is Colby Covington benefitting from Dana White privilege?

Leon Edwards defended his welterweight title earlier this month in front of his home fans. He didn’t have a lot of time to bask in the glory of the win against former champ Kamaru Usman, which came in their trilogy fight, and in front of a friendly crowd in London. Former interim champ Colby Covington was in attendance as a backup fighter for the UFC 286 headliner and was declared the next title challenger. Edwards isn’t on board with the idea that Covington should be next in line after a lengthy layoff. Many fans and pundits aren’t thrilled about it, either, considering it leaves someone like Belal Muhammad still out in the cold.

UFC 286 ‘Fight Motion’: Ludicrous London highlights in super-slow motion

The UFC’s return to London earlier this month might not have been as finish-happy as a year ago, but there was no shortage of highlights. UFC 286 , which took March 18 at The O2 in London, featured one of England’s favorites, welterweight champion Leon Edwards, in his first title defense – which happened to be a trilogy rematch with former champ Kamaru Usman. Edwards retained the title with a majority decision – and did so despite losing a point for a fence grab.

Muhammad Mokaev says he suffered partial MCL tear, eyes July return

Muhammad Mokaev suffered another injury, but he won’t let that derail his activity. During his fight with Jafel Filho at UFC 286 in London, Mokaev (9-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) was caught in a tight kneebar in Round 3, but the young prospect refused to tap. Mokaev eventually battled out of it and cinched his own submission which ended the fight . However, Mokaev didn’t come out unscathed. The 22-year-old revealed that he suffered a partial grade 2 MCL tear in his left knee and is expecting a 6-8 week recovery timeline.
